I've never been a "morning person." And yet, there are very few things I enjoy more than waking up early.
There's something about getting up at the break of dawn while everyone else continues to sleep.
Many frame waking up early as a way of being more productive, and while having an extra hour two of your day certainly helps, it's not the biggest benefit.
Being alone in the morning with your thoughts is incredibly relaxing. Peaceful even. No need to obsessive check email, or even logon to Twitter.
No obligations. Nowhere to be.
You can read a few pages of your favorite book. Enjoy your 1st cup of coffee. Journal. Maybe go for a walk or run.
You don't have to wake up early all the time to "achieve your full potential" but it's something everyone should do just a little more often.
