Towards the end of last year, I had the urge to push myself to blog every day of 2020. As of June 10th, I have yet to miss a day. Considering the absolute crazy events of this year, I'm pretty proud of that fact.
That said, I've noticed over the last several weeks, that although I have technically posted each day on the blog, it hasn't been my best work.
Some days it's been literally a few sentences. While length of content isn't the end all be all, I know that I'm been coasting which is something I want to change.
Starting next Monday, in addition to blogging every day, I'm going to challenge myself to write at least 1,500 words Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The idea is, I'll have to force myself to really think through what I'm going to write, and I won't be succesful if I just "phone it in." It's also exciting because it will challenge myself to organize my ideas and increase my consumption habits such as reading.
1,500 words three times a week isn't easy. And while it's an arbitrary number, I am motivated to get it done.
