Congratulations!! I know that may sound odd, but my family both fostered and adopted after I was older. We mostly helped children who’s parents did not love them enough to give them up, and I know it is difficult for anyone to deal with. Adoption is a wonderful thing. All of your parents should be proud of you, and you should be very proud of them as well. It takes a strong person to give up their child for the child’s good, but it also takes a strong person to adopt a child. Not all people understand how wonderful adoption can be, and it can sometimes be difficult when you are explaining it to other people.

I followed you here from Writer Dad’s site and I am glad I did. This is a beautiful story of gratitude. All four of your parents must be very proud of you. It was touching how you were able to meet your birth parents without making your adoptive parents feel lacking. Thanks for sharing this.

Am indeed very touched by this article. There is probably nothing better to leave an impact on others than by sharing a personal experience and hence I feel you have done an awesome job by posting this even though its a very sensitive topic.
