While browsing Barnes and Nobles today, I came across The Sedona Method book. Rumor has it, the Sedona Method is life changing so I decided I’d personally test things out.
Over the next few weeks I plan on applying the techniques taught in the book and if all goes well, hopefully have some positive change to show for it.
I read the forward by Jack Canfield and the first few pages and I have to say I’m excited about the potential of the book.
I figure I’m the perfect person to try the techniques because the transition to college has been leaving me feeling overwhelmed with emotion. I hope to use the clearing techniques discussed in the book, to overcome some of the subconcious blocks I have made during the early years of my life.
In the upcoming weeks, I plan on sharing my personal experience with the Sedona Method applications. If the material ends up resonating with me I will most likely purchase the course as well.
At 388 pages, it looks as if I’m going to have a solid amount of material to process. It should be a enlightening experience.
If you’ve done the Sedona Method course or read the book I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Hey Bud, I ‘ll be looking forward to what you have to say about it! In regard to the 388 pages, it can be difficult to start such a long book, can’t it? This is especially the case for me since I have a bookshelf full of books that I’m anxiously wanting to get through.
I wish you luck, and I’m looking forward to seeing your results, be sure to make a post about it.
Their headline (“Your key to lasting happiness, success, peace & emotional well-being”) makes me feel anxious for some reason. I’m still curious though.
All the best,
Zoli
I’m familliar The Sedona method via Larry Crane’s Release Technique, also taught to him by Lester Levenson. I believe it’s the same thing Hale Dwoskin teaches in The Sedona Method. I was never fully able to get into releasing, at least not the way it was described by Crane. I’d be interested in talking to you more about how Dwoskin explains it to see if I can work with his method.
The best to you!
Thanks guys! Should be an exciting couple of weeks. I’ll be sure to share my progress!
I’ve never heard of The Sedona Method, but it sounds worthwhile and I look forward to seeing what you think of it. Best of luck to you in college! I’ve just finished up my first year, and it wasn’t nearly as stressful as I’d thought, so I’m sure you’ll do just fine as well.
Hey Bud! Like the others said, do share with us your progress
I’ll love to see how you are progressing! I do a modified version of the trials actually – 21 days is the length I give myself (wrote about it in one of my articles http://celestinechua.com/blog/2009/06/cultivate-a-good-habit-in-21-days/). The area I’ve done it so far is in the area of food, really – first turning from a meat eater to a vegan (it successfully converted me to a full-time vegan), then recently to a raw vegan (I only ate raw in those 21 days and reverted back to being a vegan due to difficulty in getting food).
I have the audio version of the Sedona Method. I have them on my ipod. I rarely use them now although I found them enormously helpful a couple of years ago when I was dealing with a lot of emotional stuff. I believe it is meant to be just as good for helping achieve goals as well as dealing with emotion but I never used it for that. Funnily enough I was considering that this morning because I’m in such a great place now and I wondered if it would help me achieve all the great things have planned!
I must admit it would be hard to do it just from a book. Listening to someone else’s voice is a bit like meditation so it works from a relaxation point of view as well. I’d recommend the audio version.
@Celes: Interesting that you mentioned 21 days.. Back when I used to run our coach would constantly stress that 21 days was the time needed to get into a solid running rountine.
For my particular trial I have no problem with doing a full month. To add an extra 7 days is no big deal. I’d love to talk you about becoming Vegan as that is something I have some interest in myself
I’m glad 21 day trials have worked out so well for you!
Also the link you provided did not work
@ Jude: I apperciate the concern, however I simply want to experience the techniques by my own trial and error rather than a guided meditation at this point in time.
I’m really excited about implementing the techniques presented in the book. If all goes well I plan on purchasing the audio tape at a later time.
The transition to college has evoked a lot of emotions so I’m sure the method will prove benefcial. I’m glad the techniques have benefited you.
Thanks for the recommendation!
awwwwwsome.
sedona method is far and away the most potent and applicable thing i’ve ever used personal dev wise. it’s like eft on crack. it’s like applicable eckart tolle. it’s souper awwwsome.
i agree with zolt about the marketing. it is a lil spammy. but the content is super wow.
haven’t actually read the book myself – i’ve got all the audio. chchcheck online, if you’re a hustla
i came across it via a recommendation by one of my best friends who is retired at 25. yip. retired. at 25. travelling the world and lording. he graduated top of his class in one of the most difficult degrees and made insane cash – enough to retire. he puts it all down to personal development stuff. he used to use EFT. now he uses sedona method only. he’s heading to a retreat with hale later in the year. he’s one of the few people whose recommendations i actually listen to and once i had checked it out, fully immersed myself in it, and it’s helped me indescribably.
let me know how it goes and feel free to throw me an email about hennything sedona wise. i’ve chchchecked out most of it.
all the best mate.
alex – unleash reality
@Alex: Unfortunately many powerful personal development programs come off as spammy.. I wish that wern’t the case but that’s just the reality. For example I’ve used a great program called Think Right Now.. but its endless promotion really turns me off. Great product otherwise.
25 and retired!? Damn
Bud, the Sedona Method is by far the most powerful technique I have ever used to make positive change in life. Alex mentioned the promo was a bit spammy, but the claims that Hale makes are absolutely accurate. No exaggeration in all honesty.
My best suggestion for anyone getting started is to release with no expectation of the outcome. There is a tendency to want to control the outcome or “get” a specific thing from releasing. When you let go of wanting to control the outcome, you will get the most out of it.
Have fun, looking forward to reading about your experiences. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a hollar. I’ve been through several courses and currently do Sedona Method coaching.
All the best!
-Craig
