First, great post. I agree with all you points and it brings to mind a saying I heard a while back…I can’t recall who said it but she said… “We’re responsible for our own happiness. Because true happiness comes from within.”

One thing I’d suggest YOU do is trying to be positive about your readers: doesn’t Ten Ways to Becoming (even more) Happier sound a lot.. em.. Happier? The content of the article is okay, I’d just like the title to sound a bit more optimistic. This way when I click it I have a second though that “ouch.. I must be interested in this because I am NOT happy”.

I’d add:
So many people are unhappy because they are TRYING to be happy. They are searching and searching for something that is innately IN them.

People search for the path to happiness, failing to see that happiness is the natural life path they’ve strayed from.

So many times, I hear, “Nothing makes me happy.” Exactly. They’re relying on some outside factor to “make” them happy. All they have to do is realize that they alone are responsible for BEing happy.

Thanks for this! I have read a lot of information on how to become a happier person but haven’t read much on why people become unhappy to begin with. Which is probably more important, because you need to attack where the problem comes from to start with!
