Can You Please Pass The Salt?

You’re out with your friends and order a burger and fries.

When receiving your meal you immediately jump for the salt. 

You pour it on without having first tasted what was served. Your exepcations of the meal increase. You leave the restaurant surprisingly pleased. 

Most people hold habits and assumptions that aren’t rational.

Question is: Can you identify yours?

The length of this post almost hides the powerful message. You summed up such a powerful idea in just a few short sentences. I agree that many habits are not rational. Many are just repeated from an earlier time when they may have been rational, and many others are due to conforming to societal norms. I'll need to spend a little time watching my day to see if I can spot any irrational habits.
