<p><span style="font-size: medium;">While browsing Barnes and Nobles today, I came across  <a href="http://www.sedona.com/">The Sedona Method</a> book.  Rumor has it, the Sedona Method <em>is</em> life changing so I decided I&#8217;d personally test things out. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Over the next few weeks I plan on applying the techniques taught in the book and if all goes well, hopefully have some positive change to show for it.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I read the forward by Jack Canfield and the first few pages and I have to say I&#8217;m excited about the potential of the book.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I figure I&#8217;m the perfect person to try the techniques because  the transition to college has been leaving me feeling overwhelmed with emotion. I hope to use the clearing techniques discussed in the book, to overcome some of the subconcious blocks I have made during the early years of my life. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">In the upcoming weeks, I plan on sharing my personal experience with the Sedona Method applications.  If the material ends up resonating with me I will most likely purchase the course as well.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">At 388 pages,  it looks as if I&#8217;m going to have a solid amount of material to process. </span><span style="font-size: medium;">It should be a enlightening experience. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">If you&#8217;ve done the Sedona Method course or read the book I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. </span></p>

<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-1059" title="reclaim-your-dreams" src="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/reclaim-your-dreams.jpg" alt="reclaim-your-dreams" width="194" height="300" /></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I stumbled upon <a href="http://www.illuminatedmind.net/">Illuminated Mind</a> after reading one of Jonathan&#8217;s posts on <a href="http://www.zenhabits.net">Zen Habits</a> and was thoroughly impressed with his powerful voice. The  <a href="http://www.illuminatedmind.net/reclaim-your-dreams/">book</a> explores the question of “Why do you live?” Unlike the majority of personal development books today, Reclaim Your Dream&#8217;s gets straight to the point, challenging us to go against conventional wisdom and instead pave a path of our own.  Ultimately we must decide what makes us happy.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I have read a lot of personal development books over the past few years and to be quite honest many of them proved to provide no lasting value. This is not the case with Reclaim Your Dreams. Jonathan has a unique voice that I find to be particularly inspiring.<br />
The book is both convincing and enlightening. Taking into account how many personal development books I have read that’s saying something.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you have been a long-time-fan of personal development much of what is in the book can be found else where (Jonathan openly acknowledges this fact), however the books superb organization and Jonathan&#8217;s distinctive style makes this book worthy of your time. I promise you have never read anything like it.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you’re looking for a book with all the answers, I kindly suggest you look elsewhere. Reclaim Your Dreams doesn&#8217;t pretend to have all the answers but rather calls for you to search within yourself. Reclaim Your Dreams is a guide not a map. As Jonathan aptly states “True happiness is unique. What brings me contentment won&#8217;t be the same for everyone else.”</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What I like about Reclaim Your Dreams is that it is simple and straightforward. Jonathan makes sure that every sentence counts resulting in a book that is 100 percent fluff free. The book is pleasantly refreshing.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Much of Reclaim Your Dreams is spent, as Jonathan puts it “unbrainwashing.”  We are so brainwashed into believing that life has to be a certain way, when in fact it is up to us to create our own path. One of my favorite quotes in Reclaim Your Dreams is,” We don&#8217;t need wholesale unhappiness vaccines. We need uncommon sense. We need to follow our own hearts.”</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Clearly “unbrainwashing” can be a rather difficult task but Jonathan does a sensational job. If nothing else this book will expand the way in which you view the topic of personal development. It did for me.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">At the end of each chapter Jonathan conveniently provides the reader with “points to mediate on“ and places numerous exercises throughout the book. I found this to be extremely helpful as it allows you to reflect on what you have just read. Many times books provide you with a ton of information but no points of action. If you read this book I promise you will be very busy. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Without going into too much detail: One of my favorite suggestions in the book is to “stop caring.”  Seriously think about it. We have to do this. We have to do that. But do we really? Why do we care so much? We need to stop worrying about things that are largely irrelevant to our lives greater purpose.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Is <a href="http://www.illuminatedmind.net/reclaim-your-dreams/">Reclaim Your Dreams</a> just “another” personal Development book?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">No. If you read and complete the exercises in the book I promise that you will see tremendous improvement in your life. That is what you want right?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I highly recommend this e-book.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">As Jonathan says “It&#8217;s time to get off the hamster wheel.”</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So go on. Reclaim your dreams. 20 bucks is small price to pay.</span></span></span></p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What is the four letter verb that can change your life forever?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;m going to hold the suspense for just a wee bit longer. But in the mean time I can provide you with some clues <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Ready?<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is recommended you do this four letter word for a minimum of one hour each day.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You can do it anyplace at anytime. Although it can be difficult to do in the dark.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You can do it on the beach. On a plane. Or even in a car (assuming your not driving.)</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">My personal favorite place is the hot tub <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is <em>visually</em> engaging. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With variety this never gets old.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Depending on the quality, it can put you to sleep.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Quality is more important than length.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">At climax, you could be left in tears. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">There are groups in which you get together  and discuss your personal experiences.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This declines exponentially after graduating college.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The more skilled you are, the more enjoyable it is.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Most married couple&#8217;s have little time to do this.<br />

</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Are you ready for me to reveal the life changing four letter verb?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Drum role please&#8230;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The four letter word is..</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">READ</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now I&#8217;m going to ignore the fact that the majority of my blog readers are a bunch of dirty-minded-individuals and proceed with today&#8217;s incredibly important post.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Why read?<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you are looking to profoundly change your life perhaps one of the most important things you can do is begin reading. In my opinion, one of the most discouraging things about today&#8217;s society is the lack of desire to read. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8220;I don&#8217;t have time.&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8220;All books are boring.&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8221; Reading corrupts our minds!&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Ok, so I don&#8217;t think too many people say that last one, yet nonetheless the excuses roll on and on. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;ll be frank. Reading does take some time. But the benefits far out weigh the small amount of time it requires. Think of how many hours of T.V you watch, most of which is complete and utter trash. Reading stimulates your mind and is a terrific form of meditation (Ok so I was hoping to have a cool little link to go to if you clicked on mediation, but I have yet to write a post about it. I was too busy reading.) I digress. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Reading unleashes the creative beast that lay dormant inside of you. It motivates. It inspires. It strengthens the muscles of your mind. There is no greater feeling that getting lost in a wonderful book. One of my main goals this year is to begin reading more. I am personally into the personal development genre but I also enjoy reading an inspiring book of fiction. I love the rich detail in which my mind becomes lost in.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Over the last year I have read nearly 50 books. Some life changing. Others solid. And some that I will  soon forget. However, within the past year I have grown unbelievably. My mind has expanded. I have been introduced to various perspectives in which I otherwise would not have been. Through reading I have learned to assimilate the empowering concepts in which I have read and disregard the one&#8217;s in which are useless. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The quality of my life has sky-rocketed since I have begun reading more often. Has my life changed? Not at all, but the perspective in which I view my shortcomings and my setbacks sure have. Getting a bad grade on my paper seems nothing compared to the sufferings of the monster in Frankenstein. My feelings of loneliness are greatly overshadowed by the isolation in which Holden Caulfield felt. What are you fueling your mind with? Worthless T.V or a wonderful novel?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Perhaps the most important benefit of reading lies in the inspiration in which it gives us. In getting lost in a book we are reminded that we are indeed the  author&#8217;s of ourselves. We can at will, add, delete, or modify any page in which we create. We can expand upon the already wonderful novel in which we have crafted. In our grasp, we have a plethora of literary techniques at our disposal. One&#8217;s in which we can use to fortify our novel&#8217;s purpose. We don&#8217;t have to hit the publish button until we are absolutely satisfied with the work in which we create.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I challenge you to find the time to read. I challenge you to let your imagination run free. I challenge you to dare to dream. Find a novel. Let your worries go. Enjoy.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">And seriously.. Get your mind out of the gutter <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What is the four letter verb that can change your life forever?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;m going to hold the suspense for just a wee bit longer. But in the mean time I can provide you with some clues <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Ready?<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is recommended you do this four letter word for a minimum of one hour each day.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You can do it anyplace at anytime. Although it can be difficult to do in the dark.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You can do it on the beach. On a plane. Or even in a car (assuming your not driving.)</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">My personal favorite place is the hot tub <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is <em>visually</em> engaging. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With variety this never gets old.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Depending on the quality, it can put you to sleep.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Quality is more important than length.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">At climax, you could be left in tears. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">There are groups in which you get together  and discuss your personal experiences.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This declines exponentially after graduating college.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The more skilled you are, the more enjoyable it is.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Most married couple&#8217;s have little time to do this.<br />
