<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Today I&#8217;m going to share a rather personal exercise I just did that will give you a bit of perspective on who I am and what I want out of life. Obviously, the exercise is only useful if you&#8217;re honest with yourself and what you really want to experience rather then pretend you&#8217;re content with what you have. (There&#8217;s nothing wrong with being content of course.)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I personally found this exercise rather insightful and I hope you do as well. Feel free to share your perfect day in the comments. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>(Note: </strong>This was in its own right a journal exercise, please excuse the occasional grammar mistake.)</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">5-10 Years in The Future</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>My Perfect Day</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Morning: I wake up naturally between 7 and 8 feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day. I turn over to see my beautiful wife laying next to me and we proceed to have amazing morning sex. Afterwards, I roll out of bed and begin to brain dump three pages of the written word on my night stand journal. This gets my creative juices flowing and allows me to jump into the day without any heavy distractions. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">After my three page journal, I proceed to make myself a nutritious fruit/vegetable smoothie in my VitaMix blender (Yes, the really expensive kind.) This gives my body a nice boost of energy to help me get through the day. After my glass of juice I proceed to focus on my breathing for a good 15-20 minutes without any distractions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">When I finish meditating, I then then do some light exercise, push ups pull ups, and stretching or maybe go for quick jog. Afterwards I get lost in a good </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">When finished, I take a look at the most important tasks (Which I write the the night before) and aim to take care of them. At about 9:30 my work day begins.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Work Day</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Because my writing and marketing abilities allow me immense freedom in the the work I do, my workday consists of a variety of different projects. On any typical day, I could see myself doing a mixture of the following.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Writing</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Because I love to write and enjoy sharing my lessons with the world, my average day entails me sharing my stories via the written word. Sometimes I&#8217;ll write a blog post for my own blog, and other days I&#8217;ll share my writing by doing guest posts on other websites. Depending on what&#8217;s on my mind I&#8217;ll write about entrepreneurship, goals, habits, failure, overcoming obstacles and everything in between.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Whatever I feel can help my potential audience is what I&#8217;ll write about. I won&#8217;t waste a single second writing something that I feel is shit. Ideally I&#8217;ll only write when inspired so that my words aren&#8217;t forced but instead pack meaning. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Instead of writing about what works in theory I&#8217;ll stick to my own personal experience. Sometimes my writing will be inspirational while other times it will be in your face. I&#8217;ll mix and match depending on my specific writing goal. What matters is that my writing flows.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Consulting:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">On any given day I&#8217;ll also help people one on one by consulting. Depending on where the client is located this will either be done over lunch or via Skype preferably lunch. Though more often than not, consulting will be done on Skype. With some clients I&#8217;ll help them market their brand more effectively, taking a look at their strengths and weaknesses and enabling them to do more of what they are good at. With other clients, I&#8217;ll help them discover what it is they hope to do with their business and guide them in the process.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Having started several successful businesses myself, I know the ins and outs of staying on top in the online world and I do my best to share applicable knowledge with them. I consult only those people who have a proven track record of taking action. For those who haven&#8217;t yet put in the work, I politely decline their business. With my consulting I&#8217;m aiming to help only those who can make the biggest difference. For those who are starting out I direct them to my other services such as my writing to help them get moving. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">My rates for consulting won&#8217;t be cheap. I&#8217;ll be charging 750 an hour and upward for my consulting. Bottom line: My consulting will get you results. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Joint Ventures</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">If I&#8217;m not consulting or writing, I&#8217;ll be working on different projects with other fellow entrepreneurs. This won&#8217;t represent the majority of my income, but it will allow me to hone my ability to work with others and bring out my creative side. Joint ventures will let me combine forces with other amazing individuals. Not only that but it will push outside my comfort zone on a regular basis. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Speaking</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"> While I love writing, I also enjoy speaking. I&#8217;ll travel across the country or speak locally. While this won&#8217;t be an everyday thing, I&#8217;ll speak 5-10 times a year in various locations. Speaking will further develop my ability to communicate effectively and bring me joy of knowing my words help other people around the world. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;ll share my own personal stories including both my successes and failures. I&#8217;ll use my enthusiasm and passion to inspire others to pursue the life of their dreams. Some days I&#8217;ll speak to small groups and other days I&#8217;ll speak to thousands. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>PodCast/Video</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Because my online world is primary based on the written word I&#8217;ll also run a video/podcast in which I share my ideas on entrepreneurship and travel.I&#8217;ll invite other successful entrepreneurs on the show to share their stories as well. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Travel</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">My income streams will be designed so that I have the luxury of frequent travel meaning I can travel for weeks on end. Obviously this relies heavily on my families schedule but I envision a four or five day trip at least every couple of weeks. Travel will help me meet other entrepreneurs and push me to grow in everything I do. While the majority of my travel will be business related I&#8217;ll also take prolonged vacations from time to time to further develop my worldly view and spend time with my family. Several times a year I&#8217;ll volunteer my time to help underdeveloped countries. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Customer Service/Social Media</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"> This will hopefully be the least time consuming part of my work day but I feel it&#8217;s also an important component of any business. Ideally I&#8217;ll spend less than an hour attending to email and other communication platforms but I take pride in my communication. I happen to enjoy interacting with my readers and customers so it shouldn&#8217;t be too painstaking but I also want to stay focused in my end result. Instead of becoming a slave to communication I&#8217;ll simply use it when it benefits all those involved. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Chasing My Interests</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Some days I&#8217;ll simply take off and go do something I find interesting. I&#8217;ll read a book. Go for a hike. Meet up with friends. Anything that helps me grow as a person. I&#8217;ll play pool. Swim. Go for a run. Hike up a mountain. Or even fly a <a href="http://tylertervooren.com/advancedriskology/fly-without-license/">plane</a>. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Lunch Time</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">After about three to five hours hours of uninterrupted work I will take a late break for lunch. Depending on what my wife/children are doing at the time, this is spent with them. Some days we will go out to eat and other days we will stay home for a special home made treat. If time permits I&#8217;ll stop by school to say hello to the kids or visit my wife wherever she may be. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">After lunch I&#8217;ll again do a quick 5 minute meditation to regain focus for the rest of the work day. I&#8221;ll then dive back in to the projects at hand and work until about 5-7 at night.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><strong>Evenings</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">While I&#8217;m open to working while inspired, my evenings are normally spent with my family or friends. My business is set up to where I have the freedom to do this. I&#8217;ll play board games with my children, have dinner with friends, or have a romantic night with my wife. Family and friends first. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Creating Your Perfect Day</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">As you can see my &#8220;perfect&#8221; day is fairly detailed, though I could have gone into even more detail if desired. There&#8217;s plenty of room for spontaneity as well. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Open up a word document and begin thinking about your perfect day. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>How would it look? What would you be doing? Who would you spending your time with? How many hours would be spent with your family? How much would you exercise? Don&#8217;t put this off. Do it now. </em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The funny thing about this exercise is that you soon realize that your perfect day isn&#8217;t that far off. As long as you don&#8217;t forget to be with the people you love and do what the work that makes your heart beat. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">It&#8217;s unlikely you&#8217;ll ever reach your perfect day, but with a bit of effort you can come pretty damn close. And there&#8217;s nothing wrong with that.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">What does your perfect day look like? Please share in the comments below. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do with my life lately, and it&#8217;s become increasingly obvious I have the case of what many call the sophomore blues.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Despite my impressive tagline to the right, I too struggle with motivation and keeping my momentum during turbulent times. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Externally my life is great. I have a solid group of friends, I&#8217;m attending a respectable university, I have a roof over my head, and smile frequently throughout day. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Yet the truth is, my heart remands bored.</em> There&#8217;s abundance of possible explanations for this, but to be quite honest I don&#8217;t care about explanations. I much prefer results. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Projects and passions I once pursued with full force have been placed on the back burner. Instead of chasing my dreams I&#8217;ve just been getting by. It hurts to openly acknowledge this fact, as I pride myself in living large, but <strong>being honest with reality is the first to step to growth.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">No doubt much of my boredom stems from fear. I have a plethora of ideas that I know will benefit not only me but those who are exposed to them. There&#8217;s dozens of amazing people whom I wish to connect further with to further expand our influence. And though I&#8217;ve been excited I&#8217;ve been passive at the same time.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This weekend I spent many hours reading, and while sitting on my balcony looking at the skyline,  I was gently reminded that no one is going to save me. I&#8217;m responsible for the change I seek. If I&#8217;m not happy right now it&#8217;s up to me to change that. And for the first time in many months I&#8217;m committed to doing just that.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If you&#8217;re waiting to be saved you&#8217;re throwing your days away. It&#8217;s quit simple to sit and wait for a change of luck, it&#8217;s another to go out and create it. The latter requires courage, waiting doesn&#8217;t. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;m not going to make any promises here on this blog that I can&#8217;t keep. I know exactly what it is I need to do to come alive once again. And I&#8217;ll be sharing my journey along the way. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">A hiccup in the road isn&#8217;t the end of the world, turning back on what you&#8217;ve created however may as well be.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Here&#8217;s to stepping up. Here&#8217;s to fighting fear. Here&#8217;s to making the most out of every moment we have. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><span><span style="font-size: medium;">Here&#8217;s to kicking boredom&#8217;s ass. </span></span></span></p>

		</div>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The world, although exciting and full of abundance, can at times, be lonely and downright depressing. Sometimes we just feel lost.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">No matter how many personal development blogs or books you read, there will be times when life will seem to flat out suck. But what I&#8217;ve discovered is that despite our best efforts to create reasons why we can&#8217;t be happy, life quickly returns to nothing short of sensational, as soon as we return home. That raises the question: <strong>What is home</strong>?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">In literal terms, home is where you spend most of your time. That house you lived in for 20 years may be home. Or maybe home is that new apartment you rented. Or perhaps you consider that trailer you travel the country home. Regardless, for the sake of this article, home goes beyond a physical location and extends to the place where your heart, mind, and body are at peace.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Whenever you&#8217;re feeling lost or out of it the solution is simple: <strong>find your way home.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Depending on how far you&#8217;ve wandered, it may take a while to return. But the good news is anyone can return home, no 200 dollar GPS required.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong><span style="font-size: x-large;">Roads To Home</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">How do you get home if you&#8217;re lost?</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Disconnect:</span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;"> Take a moment to disconnect from the world around you. Tune into the voice that you so often neglect. Are you heading in the right direction or are you simply spinning your wheels? Making time to be alone allows you evaluate your current position without the pressures of the outside world. Go for a walk. Meditate. Release your worries into the air and and just breathe.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Choose To Go Home:</span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;"> Going home is a choice. At any time you can decide to return to the place where your soul smiles. Turn your back on the drama that brings you misery. Decline to hang out with the people that only bring you down. Accept nothing but the best for yourself and those you love. Choose to return home.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Return To Your Roots:</span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;"> We all have moments where life seems to be going great, where every decision we make is perfect, and it seems impossible for life to get better. Whenever you&#8217;re feeling out of whack, think back to those times when you were on top of the world. What were you doing differently? What was your perspective? Did you worry about the small stuff? Or did you focus on what you could control? Were you worried about the details or did you appreciate the moment for what it was? </span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Change Your Focus: </span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;">When your away from home, your focus can often become clouded. Wandering astray for too long can temporarily alter your priorities. Instead of being the optimistic person you,  you may begin to see the dark spot in every star. Instead of being relaxed you may quickly overflow with anxiety. You always have the ability to change your focus. What do you choose to focus on?</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">Remember What Matters:</span></strong><span style="font-size: medium;"> So many of us, myself included, get lost in things that don&#8217;t matter. <em>We live for what we are told to live for rather than experiencing what we want to deep down. We choose to react rather than to listen.  And we make plenty of excuses rather than creating the life we desire.</em></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><em>Instead of giving to the homeless we say they don&#8217;t deserve it. Instead of picking up a piece of trash we say it won&#8217;t make. difference. Instead of eating healthy we devour that extra donut.</em><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">All because we lose sight of what really matters. </span><span><span style="font-size: medium;"> Remind yourself that life is to short to be caught up in all the negatives. Remember what really matters.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong><span style="font-size: x-large;">Finding Your Way Home</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Your home is where you thrive. Only at home can you find your creative peak. Only at home can you create the change you really desire.</span></p>
<p><span><span style="font-size: medium;">While expanding your comfort zone is important for growth, you must never neglect that what gives you fuel. You must always remember to return home.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Feeling stressed at work? Unable to get anything done? Your relationships a mess? Perhaps it&#8217;s time you reroute to the road that takes you home. Take a break. Go back to your roots. Take time to do nothing. Watch a movie with your loved one. Most importantly listen to your heart.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Too often we turn our backs on what our heart is telling us, and instead listen the biased sources of the outside world. Yet when we reject our hearts advice it often involves a great deal of pain. </span><span><span style="font-size: medium;">Your home has plenty of room for intelligent thinking, but has no space to hoard the broken memories of the past or the times when you came up short.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">When we clutter our home with negative thoughts and past failures, we prevent ourselves from experiencing that of which brings us peace.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The beauty of being home is that it rarely involves suffering. When you&#8217;re home you&#8217;re able to take on anything that is your thrown your way. Occasionally you will have to repair your damaged real estate, but nothing is to large to overcome.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">You know if you&#8217;re currently on the heart centered path. You know if you&#8217;re close to home. The question is: <strong>Do you choose to listen?</strong></span></p>

</div>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">My transition to college has been nothing short of sensational. I&#8217;ve met tons of amazing people, I have a wonderful <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/dance-your-fears-away/">roommate</a>,  and have had plenty of time to explore myself and my passions. Obviously I&#8217;ve had a few rough days, which one must expect, yet for the most part my constant state of mind is bliss.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;ve spent a great deal of time reflecting over the past few weeks and have been putting extra effort into appreciating the beauty of everyday life.  As a result I can&#8217;t help but feel blessed. The truth is we all are blessed. Look around you, there&#8217;s beauty everywhere.  The people, the sounds, the colors, it all creates the sensational reality we call life.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Does this mean there isn&#8217;t terrible things in this world? Of course not. Hatred, murder, and <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/how-hungry-are-you/">famine</a> plague many parts of the world. </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Look at the major news sites, the vast majority of the &#8220;important&#8221; stories focus on all what&#8217;s wrong. The latest murder, the newest health scare, and the less than stellar economy all add to the stress of our everyday lives.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">And while one can choose to focus on all these horrendous things, doing so will accomplish  nothing. You&#8217;d think we&#8217;d learn this, but instead we continue to come back and absorb our daily dose of negativity. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The happiest and most successful people know that focusing on beauty creates a much better world than becoming a slave to negative thought.</span><span style="font-size: medium;"> Stop searching for whats wrong and instead appreciate the greatness of the world. Beauty not ugliness creates change.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><em><strong>When you focus on beauty you attract beauty. When you focus on the negative you breed a world of darkness.</strong></em><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Here are some simple ways in which you can just listen and enjoy the beauty of being. The smallest details often provide the most pleasure.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Go Outside: Disconnect from the world around you and just listen to the sounds of nature. Look at the skyline and the stars. Hear the sounds of the wind. Appreciate the magnificence of nature.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Walk: Go on a walk and let your body flow, feel connected to the energy around you.</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">People watch: How often do you take the time to observe those around you? Observing humanity  is an incredible process that does wonders for your awareness.</span></li>

<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Notice the details: Disengage auto-pilot and instead  make a conscious effort to see the details that create your reality.<br />
</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">News fast: Don&#8217;t read the news for a week and notice at how happier you become. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Be invisible: Turn off your cell phone and your email and disappear for the day. </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: medium;">Be grateful: What are you grateful for? Do you show that gratitude? Write a list of what you&#8217;re <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/the-power-of-gratitude/">grateful</a> for, or even just say thank you.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Life is forever and always beautiful. When you don&#8217;t see beauty in life it&#8217;s not because it&#8217;s not there it&#8217;s because you&#8217;re not looking hard enough. Are you finding the beauty in life?<br />

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I must admit, this is a rather spontaneous post which came to me while I was reading the first chapter of <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/the-sedona-method/">The Sedona Method</a>. I&#8217;m usually one who puts off exercises when I read them in books, but tonight I had the urge to follow through.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The exercise asked to state your intentions. I thought it would be beneficial if I posted my unedited journal online for everyone to see. Much of what I wrote is very personal but to be honest, I have nothing to hide. If anything posting my intentions will drive me more.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">The following is my unedited journal:</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">My Intentions Journal</span></strong></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to improve my relationships with my friends and family especially my brother.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to create meaningful and authentic relationships with those in tune with the frequency that I require at the current time.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to have one of the most popular personal development blogs in the world where I help hundreds of thousands learn the possibilities of this boundless world.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to to develop my ability to live in the now and thus increase my contentment with the life I have at this current moment. I intend to have a body that is congruent with how a healthy and stress body should be.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend  over the course of the next year to not only absorb knowledge but more importantly implement it in into my daily life.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to help all those who are in need of my support. I intend to remain judge free and instead look at the wonderful qualities each human possess.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to develop my problem solving abilities by looking at problems from a different angle.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to sincerely contribute to humanity while sticking true to my values.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to make an abundant living through passive income. I intend to make a name for myself through providing value in guest posts.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to make make connections that will not only help me but the others involved.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend  to increase my awareness of the negative feelings that  sometimes arise and make a conscious effort to release them.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend in crafting a  flexible daily routine congruent with my values and goals which will enable me to have the energy I need to be at my best.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to be driven but  also content with the things I have here and now.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to  improve myself through experience as well as reading and talking with other  positive individuals.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to view people not from a beneficial point of view  but rather a mindset of love.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I  intend to  make mistakes and do my best to learn from them.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I  intend to  not sacrifice my values in order to fit in but rather connect with individuals who will bring the best out in me.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to make my college experience a valuable one and continue to take strides to living a jobless lifestyle despite resistance from those who do not understand.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to continue to provide value to my blog readers by talking about not only my successes but my failures as well. I intend to follow my dreams no matter what lies on the road ahead.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to do everything I can to make the world a better place. Cliche I know. I intend to connect with people in the most authentic  way possible.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to learn many new hobbies and facts  in hopes of  expanding my horizons as a human being.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to experiment with various personal growth methods especially the ones that seem foreign to me.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to make a full income from my blog/writing and personal speaking.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend to connect with the source as much as possible and express gratitude each and ever day. I intend to lead not only by words but my example as well. I intend to be rather then try to be.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">I intend be honest rather than superficial. I intend to always keep my head up even when the dark clouds continue to pass overhead. I intend to live for a purpose larger than myself and contribute in a way I never thought possible.</span></em></p>
<p><em><span style="font-size: medium;">But most importantly I intend to connect with the source of oneness and love.<br />
</span></em></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;">The Power of Intentions</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Although I have been doing journals for several years, I found tonight&#8217;s journal to be especially inspiring. I think this is largely due to the fact  I let my shields down and just wrote.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">While I have held many intentions in my head for quite sometime, it felt great to write them down. It was shocking at how fast my thoughts manifested. At the time of this writing I feel wonderful and I have to credit that to my intentions journal.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">It will be interesting to see the effect my journal has on the upcoming weeks and month. Perhaps many of my intentions will one day manifest. I couldn&#8217;t be more excited.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;"> What do you want in your life?<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Take some time to journal your intentions. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Not later. <strong>Now.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Please share your intentions in the comments. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What happens when you make a mistake? Do you get angry or upset? Or do you observe the humor in being human?</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">From my personal experience, humor is the wisest path to choose.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You&#8217;re going to make mistakes. So make them then let them go. Don&#8217;t let your blunders and shortcomings dictate the rest of your life.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If I make mistake, I have no problem laughing about it, because I know mistakes are part of living. If I was perfect I would not be qualified to write about personal development. I take pride in knowing I&#8217;m human.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">All too often, we place a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves, resulting in the feeling of  being miserable.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We have to be <em>perfect</em>. We can&#8217;t <em>fail</em>. We have to be <em>successful</em>.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">One word: <strong>Bullshit</strong>.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With humor as our weapon, we can release that the feeling of being of miserable and instead choose to experience the feeling of being blessed. In every experience we have a choice<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-size: medium;">.  Humor is a powerful  tool</span>.</span></span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The idea of perfection is responsible for much of the suffering in our world. But it doesn&#8217;t have to be. Learning to find humor in your mistakes will magically transform your life, because when you laugh at your mistakes you allow your real-self to surface. And being real is what life is all about.</span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Wallowing in your past mistakes not only radiates a negative vibe but also hinders you from sincerely experiencing this very moment fully.</span></p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I admit, humor is not appropriate in all situations, yet too often we take being serious too far.</span></p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Having the ability to laugh at  yourself  and your mistakes radiates the realness in you, and draws people to connect with you on a personal level.</span></p>

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">If I make mistake, I have no problem laughing about it, because I know mistakes are part of living. <p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><br />

<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><span style="font-size: medium;">All too often, we place a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves, resulting in the feeling of  being miserable.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Living in <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/5-extraordinary-benefits-of-living-in-shanghai/">Shanghai</a> has allowed me to experience many firsts, attending an international school, learning the Chinese language, and daily interaction with cultures from all over the world.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">While each of these experiences have made me a much more conscious individual, there is another encounter that has made me grow tremendously.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Riding the subway in Shanghai.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">The Subway</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Today I decided to meet my father up for lunch as he soon leaves for a business trip and as you may have guessed, I&#8217;m taking the subway. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">As a matter of fact,  I&#8217;m writing this very post on my i-Phone.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">When I first moved to Shanghai, the thought of taking the crowded transportation system intimidated me greatly. Fortunately, my good friend (and experienced subway rider) Mike, turned me on to the great benefits of riding the subway.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">At first I rode the subway sparingly , but it wasn&#8217;t long before I became a regular user, especially when I visited my girlfriend in downtown Shanghai.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Because riding the subway was a simple way of saving money and it allowed me to reduce my carbon <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/footprints/">footprint</a>, becoming a regular was a no brainier.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">While it took a while to get used to, before long I  actually started to rather enjoy riding the subway. Not only does taking the subway give me time to reflect  but I also enjoy the interaction with the hundreds of people who ride the subway.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Connectedness</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">One of my favorite reasons for riding the subway is I can&#8217;t help but feel connected to humanity when I do.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">I  absolutely love the energy of the subway. Each day the energy is noticeably different. Sometimes it is negative, while other days  I can&#8217;t help but feel the positivity of the passengers aboard.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">I love experiencing the ups and downs of human emotion.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Riding the subway gives me the chance to fully immerse and connect with the thousands of people who use the subway daily.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">While it can often times be crowded, I have come to thoroughly enjoy my time on the subway.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">A positive habit I have adopted is to give my seat up to someone who looks as if they need it. Not only does this make me feel better but it also gives me an opportunity to make someone&#8217;s day.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">I am regularly amazed at the politeness of (some) Chinese who gracefully refuse the seat.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">(Ironically, I was just pushed out of the way by an elderly Chinese woman I kid you not.)</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">I love watching people interact with each other and am often greeted with smiles. I also enjoy watching the plethora of little kids I routinely come across.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">I do my very best to smile at as many people as I can and sometimes start some small talk with some of the passengers ( my Chinese is still fairly weak.)</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Many of my most euphoric moments have occurred during the walk home from the subway. This no doubt is the result of the connectedness I often feel when riding the subway.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Personal Development Express</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Not only does riding the subway give me time to connect with humanity, I also use it as a time of growth.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Because I am often on the subway for 20-30 minutes, I quickly realized the potential of using the time to better myself as a human being.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Luckily, unlike when I&#8217;m in the car, I am able to read with out getting sick; therefore I take advantage of the 20-30 minutes and often read a book.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">If I&#8217;m not feeling in the mood to read I also have enough time to fit in a 20 minute motivational podcast to boost my spirits. I often listen to a  <a href="http://philosophersnotes.com/">Philosopher Note</a> or two.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">I also sometimes take out my I-phone and jot ideas down for future posts.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Riding the subway often gives me sudden spurts of inspiration as well. I can&#8217;t tell you how many post ideas have come to me during a subway ride.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Taking the subway also gives me time to simply slow down. Sometimes I simply focus on my breathing and zone out. And while the subway isn&#8217;t quiet enough for me to experience full scale meditation, I occasionally  listen to some meditation tunes.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">I can&#8217;t tell you how valuable the 20-30 minute subway rides have benefited me as a person. I&#8217;ve written numerous articles, read an entire books (obviously in not one trip), and took sometime to contemplate some of lives most difficult questions.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">The subway truly has been my personal development express.  <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Taking the subway</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Having grown up in the suburbs of Texas it wasn&#8217;t often ( OK never) that I found myself taking the subway.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;">Living in Shanghai has really opened my eyes to how convenient  taking the subway can be.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">While I don&#8217;t always take the subway I do my very best to use it as often as possible.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Do you regularly use the subway? Or are you a subway virgin?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Assuming there is a subway near you, I  highly suggest you give riding the subway a try. <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':-)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />

		</div>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Out of the many experiences we face in life, saying goodbye is often the most painful.  Whether it be saying goodbye when you relocate to a new home, or saying bye to a family member or friend whose last breath is drawing near.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sometimes we have the privilege  to say goodbye and other times people are taken from us in an instant. The fact of the matter is, life is abundant in goodbyes.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">A few days ago, I said goodbye to my girlfriend of sixteen months who moved to Switzerland to attend university. I will be attending university in the United States, so it is unlikely I will see her for quite sometime. Because of the distance we have decided to go our separate ways.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Saying bye to my girlfriend is the first of many goodbyes to follow, for my high school career officially ends this Thursday. I will be parting ways with many of my good friends who have made me the person I am today.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Saying goodbye to someone you love is a difficult task, yet with the proper mindset it doesn&#8217;t have to be as difficult as we often make it.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Accept your feelings</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When saying goodbye it is important that  you are honest with yourself and your feelings. Don&#8217;t pretend to feel something your not. If your sad, feel sad. If your angry, feel angry. Let your feelings flow.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The worst thing you can do is hide your emotions. The more you resist your feelings the stronger they become.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I would be lying if I said the last few days have been great. My emotions have been anything but stable. I&#8217;ve been sad and I&#8217;ve been angry yet the important thing is I have allowed myself to feel.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;ve looked for comfort from my friends.  I&#8217;ve gone on long walks. I&#8217;ve cried more than any teenage male would like to admit, yet with each passing day my perspective has slowly become more empowering. While I miss my girlfriend greatly, my gut instinct continually reminds me everything will be OK.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Everything will always be OK.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Saying goodbye is difficult because our ego craves security. Uncertainty makes our ego sick. The remedy is to remember that security does not exist. Life is full of uncertainty</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Often times we cling to our past relationships, thinking that life will never be the same.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8221; I will never find someone like him/her.&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8221; He/she was my best friend.&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">&#8220;I can&#8217;t go on with life.&#8221;</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This flow of negative thought does nothing but greatly slow the recovery process.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The truth is, you will go on, you will meet many more wonderful people in your life time, and you will continue to make the most out of your life.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When you catch yourself thinking these negative thoughts, feel them and let them go, they don&#8217;t belong.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I&#8217;d be a hypocrite if I said I&#8217;ve never found myself thinking negatively. To be honest I&#8217;ve struggled immensely these past few days. Does this make me a bad person? No. It makes me human.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Accept your feelings don&#8217;t become them.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Be thankful</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">While it is incredibly easy to get caught up in all the things that the word &#8220;goodbye&#8221; brings an end to, it is essential that we remain thankful for the moments we were lucky enough to have.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It may be difficult to accept, but it is important to remember that all human relationships eventually come to an end.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Instead of looking at relationships from a purely physical perspective it is important we realize our relationships are much more.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When you accept the fact that no relationship will last forever you can put more energy into living more fully today.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Although our relationships may end physically, spiritually we are always connected.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now I&#8217;ll be the first to admit this abstract concept is rather difficult to comprehend, however for me it has been a very power perspective to adopt.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">While saying goodbye may close the physical door, we can always revisit our relationships through our memories.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">With regard to my girlfriend and myself, I am eternally grateful for the many wonderful memories we had the opportunity to share. While it was hard to say goodbye, the hundreds of memories we made, were well worth the price.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">While my soul is deeply saddened at  the inability to now create memories on demand, I realize that we have shared plenty. I already have a plethora of amazing moments to revisit in my mind. Within seconds, I can revisit our first and last kiss. Within seconds, I can revisit the countless nights that we lay searching for the Shanghai stars. Within seconds, I can revisit all the laughter and and all the tears.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Butterflies can’t tell time.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Your memories more powerful than you can imagine. Revisit them frequently and you will find that you have the ability to connect with anyone at anytime, regardless of location. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">By being thankful we are able to connect with the true essence of life.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Instead of focusing on what you won&#8217;t be able to do in the future take sometime and be thankful for what you have already done.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What about your current relationships are you <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/the-power-of-gratitude/">thankful</a> for?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Write it down. How does it feel?</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">A new door</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">For every goodbye comes another hello. Human beings are social creatures that thrive on interaction. To truly function at your highest level requires that you maintain numerous <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/how-to-create-authentic-relationships/">authentic relationships</a>. Accept that goodbyes are a part of life.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Change is constant. Every second, you are a different being. People come into your life and leave just as quickly. The end of a relationship  leaves an opportunity to create a new one. With 6 billion people in the world there are plenty of people for you to meet. Things may be different but change  is a good thing.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Embracing  the unknown is a powerful tool to truly express your potential.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Look at the unknown as an opportunity to grow. Open the new door and step right in.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Will you embrace the unknown?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;">Coming to peace</span></span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">While saying goodbye will never be easy, it is important we embrace change with a positive attitude and look to continue forward. Because of today&#8217;s technology it is easier than ever to stay in touch.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Are you saying goodbye soon? Take a deep breathe, I promise it will be OK.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Cry. Laugh. Be thankful. Live.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Time heals all pain. New relationships await.</span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When was the last time you sincerely thanked a family member or friend for all that they have done?</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Its been a while, eh? Don&#8217;t worry you&#8217;re not alone.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It&#8217;s unfortunate, but many of us, including myself, often take our relationships for granted.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We <em>expect</em> Dad to <em>always</em> support us.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We <em>expect</em> Mom to <em>always</em> have dinner made.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We <em>expect</em> our friends to <em>be there</em> when we&#8217;re feeling down.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We <em>expect </em>our brothers and sisters to <em>come running</em> when we find ourselves in a <em>jam</em>.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Yet we rarely take the time to give praise.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">As my high-school career is coming to a end, I have found myself spending a substantial amount of time reflecting on the people that have influenced me.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">One of my greatest personal faults is that I often fail to give praise. While I strive to live a life of  <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/the-power-of-gratitude/">gratitude</a> , I often forget to voice how much someone means to me. This is something I&#8217;m working hard on to improve.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The past few days I have made a conscious effort to praise my family members and friends as much as possible and have found the process to be very rewarding, not only for me but those receiving the praise as well.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When you give praise you are sending out positive energy, which results in more good deeds being done. Everyone loves a good, &#8221; I appreciate you.&#8221;</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Expressing praise is a simple way to benefit humanity. While giving praise is almost effortless, it makes people work harder and feel better about themselves.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When I learned that I was moving to China, I spent an entire day writing notes to the members of my cross country team. To this day a few of them keep the letter in their wallet. </span></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">You never know how much your praise might mean. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">In the next few days I plan on writing numerous hand written notes expressing my praise to the many individuals who have influenced the person I am today. I intend to spend many hours crafting these notes to convey the importance each individual has played in my life. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Although it isn&#8217;t necessary to write letters in order to express praise, I personally  have found it to be a very effective medium. The act of expressing praise is all that matters; </span></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">you can always give more thanks.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Have you been taking your relationships for granted? Do you give thanks daily?<br />
</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Who will you praise today?<br />
</span></span></p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Are you meditating 30 minutes each day? If not, you should be.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">An intelligent person like you can&#8217;t afford to pass up such a wonderful and enlightening experience.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">What? You don&#8217;t know what meditation is? (I&#8217;ll wait while you imagine a monk sitting with his legs crossed humming “hmmm”&#8230;)</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Don&#8217;t worry you&#8217;re not alone, and lucky for you, you don&#8217;t have to be a Buddhist Monk to participate.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So what is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditation">meditation</a>?  If you were to have a dictionary on hand it would state, “The action or practice of meditating” Gee thanks pocket dictionary..</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Shall we dive a little deeper?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This is my definition of meditation, so if you don&#8217;t like it you can go buy another dictionary <img src='http://www.aboundlessworld.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Meditation is a period of time in which your thoughts flow free of judgment. It is a period of time in which you just “be.” Meditation is a doorway  for you to explore your spirituality. Meditation is a time in which you become in-sync with your true-self. Meditation is a time in which your conscious mind is able to recharge after being constantly bombarded with stimuli. Meditation is the process of connecting with the energy of humanity.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The simplest and quickest way to completely transform your life is to practice daily meditation.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Let me repeat that again:</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The simplest and easiest way to completely transform your life is to practice daily meditation.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">Social Conditioning:</span></span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It&#8217;s unfortunate, but most of the Western World views meditation as a waste of time. “What  30 minutes of doing nothing? Your crazy.” Is a response I often hear. Many individuals claim meditation to be nothing more than a bunch of “new age” crap. This kind of thinking unfortunately prevents millions of people from experiencing what it truly means to live. If only some people were a bit more open minded&#8230;</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">How To Meditate:</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Still reading? Great. Now I&#8217;m going to teach you how to meditate.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Take a moment and find a quite place where you will not be disturbed.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Turn off the computer (yes that means you must stop reading this blog) and your cell phone.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Get comfortable. Close your eyes. Now breath. Take a deeeep breath. Just let your thoughts flow in and out, not paying particular attention to any certain one.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">After about 30 seconds it should begin to get uncomfortable. This is your social conditioning kicking in.  Perhaps you may think, “This is a waste of time.” Who knew doing nothing could be so difficult?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Let your thoughts flow.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Just keep breathing. Feels good doesn&#8217;t it?</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">After a good 10 minutes or so, you should now be entering a deep meditative state. This state should be particularly soothing. Take some time and notice your body. Feel the sensations in your hands, your toes, and your heart.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">See how long you can go without thinking. At first this may appear to be impossible, however you will be surprised at what you&#8217;re capable of. The important thing is that you just be. Tune in to your higher self. Visualize. Pray. Breathe. Enjoy.<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span> </span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">My Experience With Meditation:</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The topic of meditation has always fascinated me. 30 minutes of doing nothing? Sweet. I have read numerous personal development books and  it seems that nearly all the happy and successful individuals spend a great deal of time meditating each day. Spiritual leader <a href="http://www.chopra.com/">Deepak Chopra</a> recommends meditating 30 minutes each morning and 30 minutes at night.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Can doing nothing for 30 minutes each day really transform your life?  Considering all the <a href="http://www.healthandyoga.com/html/meditation/objectives.html">health benefits</a>, I figured I&#8217;d give it a try. As with many, I at first found meditation to be incredibly awkward. I often thought to myself “ Am I really doing this?” However this awkwardness soon disappeared.  I now look forward to my daily time alone. Meditation has <em>transformed</em> my life.</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">Oneness</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2008/10/oneness/">Oneness</a> is a wonderful benefit of meditation.</span></span></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">When I am in a deep state of meditation I can&#8217;t help but feel connected to the entire world because meditation is the flow of thoughts without judgment. It often takes me some time to reach this state but when I do, I feel connected to everything and everyone. The great thing about this feeling is it strengthens the longer my mediation lasts. Upon completing my meditations I almost always feel a sense of peace. Sometimes I  choose to connect with my friends through meditation by simply opening myself up to this type of communication. I always feel at home when I&#8217;m connected with the world.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">Intentions</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Your intentions quickly manifest when your mind is calm, therefore meditation is a perfect time to send out your intentions. I personally love sending out my intentions during my meditations. While meditating, I often find that my intentions are authentic rather than simply constructed from social conditioning. I often find these intentions to be more congruent with my life purpose.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: large;">Thanks</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Sometimes during my meditations I like to give thanks. I simply send out a simple intention, thanking the world for all it has given me. I often give thanks for the extraordinary relationships I have been able to manifest. These meditations are often my favorite for it leaves me feeling extremely blessed. What are you <a href="http://www.aboundlessworld.com/the-power-of-gratitude/">grateful </a> for?<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">Prayer</span></span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Occasionally while meditating I feel a strong urge to send out intentions for those in need. I find that whenever I begin praying I often pray for longer then intended. During my last meditation I prayed for 20 individuals. I say this not to show how many people I prayed for but rather show the power of prayer.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;">Visualization</span></span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> I often take some time to visualize my ideal state of being. I picture myself in my ideal life. The power of imagination is extraordinary. Simply picturing yourself in your ideal state can do wonders for your health and well being. My visualizations often leave me feeling powerful and strong. If you had the &#8220;perfect&#8221; life what would it be like? How&#8217;s your health? Your relationships? Are you financially independent? Take some time to imagine your ideal life.<br />
</span></span></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino;"><span style="font-size: large;">Conclusion</span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We live in a world of constant stimuli. We push ourselves to the limits and in the process forget to let our mind and soul recharge, and as a result we  become stressed and sick. It doesn&#8217;t have to be that way. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Meditate today.<br />
