I just finished reading your posting and I am sitting here crying after realizing that I have fallen into that pit of self-doubt and non belief in myself. I have had several years of misfortunes and I really felt as if the bottom would be where I stay. But, alas, in these last few months I have been asking myself why am I not happy as I was from 10 years ago? I have been questioning myself as to what is important and in all reality, "How important is the word important in my life?". I have been researching this dramatic epiphany that has come knocking on my door and I want to "OH SO MUCH answer the door ? and live my life again."
I know what my problem is now and you have aided me in finding the solution to resolving it.
You are right as to the effect the Collective Human Concious can have on the individual. We must be a part of the whole but stand and live as the individual we are. Belief in one-self is the basis for religion in this world for the last 100,000 years. Religion gives individuals a reason to point and judge each other. Hence the problems we see today and in the past.
Human beings as a stand alone creature inheritantly believe that there is a higher power in this plane of existence and it has to have a name and we need to protrate ourselves before it. But in reality, we have the power, the energy, and the belief.
Society is a creation of those seeking power to control the masses. It is a matter of "Smoke and Mirrors".

Bud - what an inspiration you are. I feel so blessed to have found your work. Absolutely - in each moment we have the decision to be happy - or not - our choice - no matter how impossible that seems. Thanks for the great reminder - and I so look forward to spending more time with your posts

Great article Bud!

You know from my blog that I'm a huge believer in the power that we all have to take meaning and find positivity in any situation no matter how unpleasant it may be. While many people disregard this concept, it's really true that we have an innate ability as humans to choose how we perceive our surroundings.

The less you need to be happy, the happier you'll be, and if more people were to live this way, the world would be a happier and friendlier place!
