Great list Bud! I have to nitpick at one of them though. ;) Ice cream?????

Yes, it tastes good and can lift your spirits, and it’s fine in moderation, but relying on it for a mood lift can be a dangerous proposition.

Some people say that sugar is more addictive than heroine. That’s because it affects your brain chemistry and gives you a momentary high. The problem is that the high is often followed by a low that leaves you right back where you started and makes you crave more ice cream!

Unless you’re already in a good mood and just want a tasty treat, I say avoid the ice cream and choose one of the other 49 great suggestions.

Ha! Vin! I threw that in just to make you were reading!

Sugar more addicting than heroine? I could see that..

I have to agree: Solely relying on ice cream to boost your mood is a terrible idea.

Upon reflecting I realize I should have probably found a more effective alternative… But hey.. My readers are smart :)

I tried to come up with one that you didn’t list, and the only thing I could think of was ‘have a glass of wine’, in moderation of course!

These are GREAT! I particularly like “stop seeking approval.” I think this can definitely boost your mood and I think it can be applied to everyone in some capacity. Attitude is everything!

A friend of mine has a trick for boosting your mood. She puts her hand in front of her mouth like when you giggle into your hands. Then she says “haaa.. haaa.. haa”. She is continually saying that until it becomes so pathetic that she eventually bursts out laughing. I tried it too, many times. It’s an excellent way to make yourself a bit more positive, you mock yourself for being unhappy in a cocky and funny way, until you finally become happy :)
Try it ;)

Lots of great suggestions on here. This qualifies a print job – as much as I refrain from using paper – I can benefit from having great reminders around!!
